Mobile World Congress — the world’s biggest and most influential mobile event, which took place in Barcelona from 22 to 25 February — had a record-breaking 101,000 attendees from 204 countries. Security, privacy, net neutrality, 5G, the Internet of Things, and Virtual and Augmented Reality were just a few of the key topics at this year’s show.
For those of us who weren’t able to make it to Barcelona, Women in Telecoms & Technology once again assembled a panel of experts to bring us news and views from the 2016 show.
Our event took place on the 22nd of March 2016, at the GSMA.
WiTT board director Michelle Senecal de Fonseca led our panel. She was joined by:
- Naomi Climer, President, The Institution of Engineering and Technology;
- Dr. Mike Short, Vice President – Public Affairs, Telefonica Europe;
- Mats Granryd, Director General and Member of the Board, GSMA; and
- Camille Mendler, Lead Analyst, Enterprise Services; Ovum.
We’ll add a synopsis of the event here in the next few days.
We’d like to thank the GSMA for hosting this event.
